Member Networking Policy
YYC Biz Basketball helps members build meaningful professional connections through shared basketball experiences. This policy explains how the optional member directory works and how members are expected to use it.
Optional directory
Members may choose to appear in a private directory accessible only to authenticated members.
Directory participation is optional and disabled by default. It can be turned on or off at any time from your dashboard.
Visible information
Members may voluntarily share:
- Name.
- Profile photograph.
- Company.
- Professional title.
- Industry.
- LinkedIn profile URL.
- Networking interests.
Email addresses, payment details, and private administrative information are never shown in the directory.
LinkedIn connections
Members may open another member's LinkedIn profile and independently decide whether to send a connection request.
Joining the directory does not mean a member has consented to receive commercial or marketing messages from other members or from sponsors.
Acceptable use
No scraping, bulk exporting, harassment, spam, or unauthorized commercial use of directory information.
Member contact information must not be collected or reused for marketing without the member's consent.
Privacy controls
Members may disable directory visibility, update their profile, or request deletion of their account at any time.
Sponsors
Sponsors do not automatically receive access to private member information. Any sponsor recognition is separate from member data, and member details are only shared where there is an appropriate consent basis.
