Photography & Media Consent
YYC Biz Basketball may capture photographs and video at events for community updates, event recaps, and promotional purposes. Promotional media consent is optional and is collected separately from your registration.
Where images may appear
Images and recordings may appear on:
- The YYC Biz Basketball website.
- Instagram.
- LinkedIn.
- Event recaps.
- Promotional materials.
What consent covers
Members who consent authorize YYC Biz Basketball to use identifiable images and recordings for the stated purposes without compensation.
Consent applies to the use described at the time it was given. Consent from one event is not automatically treated as authorization for every future use in a materially different context.
Withdrawing consent
You may withdraw consent for future use by contacting yycbizbasketball@gmail.com, subject to applicable legal and practical limitations. Withdrawal stops future promotional use; it cannot recall material that has already been published or printed.
Declining is always allowed
Declining promotional photography consent does not prevent event registration and does not affect your ability to participate.
Organizers can see which registered participants have declined promotional photography so they can be identified and left out of promotional shots.
On-site notices
Where photography is planned, organizers will let participants know at the event. If you would prefer not to appear, tell an organizer before play begins.
